I think your inclination toward rustic and distressed pieces is the right way to go. Consider a movable coffee table - I see 2 recliners that may necessitate some table shifting?- an area rug large enough to incorporate all the seating, rather than just a hearth rug, and enclosed storage for your electronics. If you can post shots of the room, other Houzers may have some more ideas.

Your drapes look like they're fine. It's hard to see if they're long enough--do they just touch the floor? That would be the right length. Make sure the paint you pick blends with the color of the drapes and the two chairs. The Edgecomb Gray looks like it would work or you could go with an entirely different color and add pictures and rug to pull it all together. Love the color Sea Salt by SW.

Thanks all, for the suggestion. Yes will stick to white for all other sides of the room. one is full glass with curtains, the other is behind the sofa, a plain wall as of now with no art or anything, this is just opposite to the brick wall. The 4th side is the foyer and a small wall with a artsy clock. The living area is more an open plan, that leads to dining on one side. I am looking for wall art ideas too. I create my own art for the home, I have not gone commercial, just do some art for friends too when they ask as gifts :-). We are changing all the furniture in this room, including the softa. have ordered recliners in light brown color, A square center table with stools underneath, and a side small curio/book shelf. Too many colors and dark colors make the space smaller also in your decor replace the printed cushion with a lighter shade of same blue. A small floral painting behind the sofa beside the window having rust,blue and cream on it will look good.Side tables on sides of the sofa should be there. Side tables of U shape whose Base can slide below the sofa side are available in market they will look great with your decor. You can put a small matching square table between the corner made by the handles of the sofa and put a small plant like mini bamboo on it. I hope my suggestions are of some use to you thanks
