Will ventilation be sufficient in Kitchen

Hi
-The window location is changed here and now the window opens in a set back area.
-There is an exhaust fan next to the same window opening in set back area.
-No window on the kitchen wall that is coming in parking area because the other side of wall will have shelves in kitchen
-What options r available if we want to have more ventilation
Is ventilation required further or the window in set back area sufficient?

Farooq,

The kitchen will look like a dungeon as per the proposed changes. IMHO, it is not worthwhile to change the window placement.

Otherwise you can opt for a open type of kitchen.

But how can we have a window there as the shelves r coming inside kitchen on same wall?

Thank you for your quick response . I think this will give a better picture ,I modified the layout a little bit for a more clarity.As you can see the kitchen is right at the entrance and the only light it gets is from the living room due to which we cant close it off.It will be really helpful if you could share pictures of the ideas .

Hi Divi. As per the plan , you must go for bigger windows then those shown in the plan . I believe that the center curve dotted line in the plan is open to the sky. That much will do. On the left side of the plan there's O.T.S. then two toilets are planned. I would suggest you should have it in the center of both the toilets for better ventilation and exhaust. In kitchen plan there are no windows shown in the plan , if there are no windows planned , then you must have it on one wall for proper exhaust and day light. Can you tell me about the DR room in your bedroom next to drawing room?If its a dressing room , then change the plan of the bedroom. Put the dressing room next to the toilet of size 7'8"x 5'4". That way your bedroom will have more light with bigger window. For any other query, you are most welcome.

Having the sink outside is desirable because it covers the unpleasing sights and keeps the odor at bay. 2. Providing seating in a kitchen is a purely subjective choice. If required, look at compact, concealed options for minimal disruption in the workflow. Another suggestion that we would like to share with you is shifting your door for entry to the kitchen in the upper right corner, if possible considering the adjoining space. Well this was made clear to the lower floor occupants that the kitchen might need artificial lighting during the day too. Also, if it can be an option, is it a good idea to lay exhaust pipes from the kitchen all the way up to the terrace so that the shaft remains free of grease laden fumes. Moreover we are planning to fill the shaft with planters to create a natural look so kitchen fumes might make the environment unsuitable for plants to survive? So laying exhaust pipes will be better right?

Mr. Farooq, too disappointed with your behaviour. You must maintain one window for all your queries. If the structure is ready and cannot be changed then you should decide for the changes.

Sorry Rupal shah if u get hurt.. But I thought I'm just getting ideas from the experts to see what possibilities... Not sure why u feel it that way.

May be i posted my question wrongly.?

I will rephrase.. The wall is constructed till sajja level.. and the shelves from inside r yet to be made. I'm trying to check what options r available to get more lighting and ventilation in kitchen?
1. Can a window be still made in parking side wall with compromising shelves for the window area?
2. Or would ventilators look good which opens in parking area?
3. Anything else?
