look for "arabesque" designs. 8 pointed stars, tesselated is a common one, as is the "moroccan lantern" look that's popular in tiles right now (that pattern started in persia, which is now iran.).

Unless you have a very beautiful garage door I would paint it a color that blends with the brick IMO they are all too much in your face as is I loved it when the garage was at the back of the house not front and center

Simple! Avoid paint! Simply buy 2 sheets of laminate (one for front and back each) that matches with the rest of your doors, and paste it on the PVC door using a strong adhesive (HeatX by Fevicol, or any other alternative).
