I would break it up into various rooms, approximately 10 feet by 15 feet each, though a longer one with a long narrow (2 feet?) water feature against the wall and seating and plants in the center part would work. Plants on the wall, making it vertically green. A path leading from room to room should jog, so you cannot see straight through. Change the theme of rooms, large fancy pottery, an outdoor dining area, sunbathing area if possible.

Thank you for posting the pic. Is it just open space opposite the chairs and a blank wall with the entry door? Any windows on that wall? Is that a table showing on the right of this pic, or a counter between living room and kitchen? My first thoughts are that those chairs must be pulled away from the wall and angled in some way, and somehow you need to find space for more seating. Could you angle them towards each other against the room divider, or is that a cupboard you need access to? Then you could turn the table 90 degrees, and place other seating facing the chairs. I'm liking the idea of picking up on colour from the green glass on the table, but I'm not sure how yet. I have a busy day ahead but I hope to check in later.

We've had great success by putting small fences around our flower and vegetable garden, and trained them that they don't go in them. We even have a small wire fence around the base of a tree with the bird feeder, and the squirrels sit in there eating away as they know the dogs won't go over the fence.

What a wonderful outdoor space. Yes it is tight but there are many options. In that tiny corner by the door ( last picture) you might want a tall plant or a small round table that could hold drinks or snacks.You can have a small eating area or just a place to sit. Lots of green and perhaps flowering plants will add beauty to the space. If your air conditioner drips, just put a plant below to catch the water.Add color with pillows or a small indoor outdoor area rug. In the attached photos you can see how people have added just a few pieces of furniture to turn these spaces into wonderful retreats. Also adding white lights will be magical at night. Or Or
