HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)

Hi Saurabh, The placement of the TV unit is as it should be i.e. opposite the L-seater sofa. Place the TV in such a way that the centre of the TV is at eye level when you are seated. Make the console sleek and avoid going vertical - it makes the space look crowded. Treat the wall behind the TV unit with a wallpaper, textured paint, veneer paneling or 3D panels depending on the overall look you are going for. Put up a ledge on top to house your sound bar etc. Try to conceal all cables. Provide your set top box inside the console and use a cable manager to secure all wires in one place. Hope this helps. Apologies Pro, for speaking on her behalf but I guess she is referring to the alignment of the sofa and TV unit and the viewing angle. If the sofa is placed on the orange wall it has to be done after leaving the door space where as TV is place very near to the wall. Secondly, it will be too much of a viewing distance. Ok there is a lot that you can do to decorate this place. You can put nice white/cream curtains along with white/cream curtains so that you can use net curtains one when you want more light. You can place a small decorative plant on that window. Another thing is that you can do is cover the wash-basin pipe.
