Design Dilemma Furniture Living Room

I want to redecorate my drawing room with an antique look.

Hello, I want to renovate my drawing room. Different layout and wall treatments. I want the wall to be treated by onyx and some design with it behind the sofa. Please suggest something antique look.

Hello Shivani,

For antique look, you can use an indian wooden swing as one seating on one of the sides of the seating, for wall treatment you can also go for pop textures with rust color on the wall. For the sofa go for a light color like beige or creme, with bright color cushions. You can also go for one seating in a contrast or bright color.

Thank you so much Namrata. But i have also got one reference image for the wall treatment. Can you suggest me whether it will look good? Like on either sides, there will be onyx and in the middle wood work something like this. Please guide me in this and if i should make changes in this, kindly let me know

Neeti, Damask wallpapers are very tricky to work with. Although they look good from a distance but they take away all the look just because of sheer size of them. And to top it we have the floor, sofa, wall decor in a similar color. Do you have a budget in mind to make appropriate suggestions. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs Studio

yes , onxy and woodwork combined together will definitely look good. If one wall is decorated heavily then try to keep other walls simple and plain, keeping only one highlighted wall.

And can you please suggest me a proper furniture layout considering heavy design on one wall. It is 15 by 15 big drawing room.

Okay. I have a present drawing of the drawing room. Left and right walls have window. It is marked there.
