Comments (40)Hi, I am not a professional but a enthusiast. I have 2 opinions for you. 1. Small Puja Mandir in place of Fridge and move the fridge near the Sink opposite to Dining. This will be probably very Small. But during Pooja, there will be good space. 2. The second opinion is based on questioning the need of 3 bathrooms. Comments (12)Many people these days opt for puja room in guest bedrooms, due to limitation of other spaces. Since living room while entertaining guests there is alcohol consumption, non veg food, dancing, so it could be more disgraceful than a guest room. So, I guess that's fine. I am suggesting the bed on the west wall (the headrest on West Wall) so that you are facing the east (that's Vastu compliant). The bed goes where the wardrobe currrently is. The temple on the North wall with the Gods facing South or West wall with Gods facing east. Rest you could add a bench under the window for seating while enjoying the sunlight and a console on the South wall....See More

4 years agolast modified: 4 years agoOne of my clients had no designated space for puja in their home, and they would have had to squeeze it into a passage somewhere. So when they came to me for ideas, I noticed in the floor plan that they had a beautiful covered verandah overlooking a private garden. The wall of that verandah was towards the east side of the garden. So I thought- why not carve out a rustic simple puja space here? Outdoors? The client was game. And this was the result- a 2'-0" x 2'-6" wood panelled niche in the wall, with a simple clay Krishna placed on a wooden bracket with a delicate hanging brass lamp

3 years agoOne of our clients created this beautiful mandir right next to their entrance door towards the living... If you are using bespoke and exclusive products, then why not use them in your puja too?They wanted the same Luxury ceiling fan with real walnut wooden blades & lighting that was used in the master suite for the puja room also, Check it out!

3 years agoWe did something very similar in a house in Gurgaon. The entrance passageway led straight to the living room. Behind the left side wall of the passage was the maid's room. We closed it off from the kitchen side and opened it into the entrance passage instead. We didn't want to have the door swing into the passage, so we installed sliding doors. And that became the puja room, the one you pass on your way into the main house
