The doorway can be a little taller than usual, say 8'-0" instead of the usual 7'-0", but the ceiling can be normal 9'-6" to 10'-0". There are some cases when the pooja space is located on the ground floor and the ceiling is double height and extends all the way to the upper floor. It gives you a chance to use decorative elements through the entire height of wall, and give the pooja area the pride of place and a grander look

pooja room should be depicted as traditional and ethnic, one can use wooden carved MDF sheets for paneling with duco paint as its finish. other option can be wooden square mesh panel with bells - photo attached for reference.
