I will second that . You can change the look of the whole space with changing colours of the walls, furniture and curtains. You can also try reorganizing your existing furniture. In my opinion marble and tiles work best for Indian climate. They are also far easier to maintain in our humid climate.Had it been a badly done mosaic or cement floor, I would have said that go for vinyl flooring. Vinyl flooring looks good in pictures but looks a bit cheap in real life. Don't substitute it with your real marble flooring. Instead, why not take your marble floor as an inspiration and design the room around it ? I mean using colours that would compliment your floor on your walls and furniture. If done correctly, it can turn out really well ^_^

Have decided to change the wall colour to White and use wallpaper with light grey shade and Sofa also of Light grey colour. glass dining table with 6 chairs and greyish curtains ( a bit shinny one), a sleek TV cabinet with TV fitted to wall. Anything else i need to do? Please guide

why would you consider going from Marble to Vinyl? Is it not a downgrade?

That is a nice idea. However if you are going with light walls, I would say go darker with your furniture colour. If you use white or off white wall colour, go with a darker grey sofa. Though not very dark but at least 2-3 tones darker than your walls. Go with khadi texture on sofa covers. It looks very nice and is quite trendy.

Mounting the tv on the wall is also a good option.

What i will ask you to change is your coffee table. Replace it with with a glass or a wooden nesting table. Go for a set of 2 round ones with walnut polish (if it is wood) .Keep a small dari rug under it. use you wall paper on the wall on which you are mounting your tv or on the wall directly adjacent to it.
