Farooq, There are some building bylaws that require to be maintained. Depending on the state you are in the law requires a certain gap between the road and the compound wall and a certain gap between the compound wall. I was looking at the requirements today. you will have to check them as per your state. I would advise you to leave more space for your back yard for maintenance and cleaning.
