I have got a 11ft×14ft 1inch size room which needs to be designed for master bedroom. so there is a small corridor after the door. I want the king size bed to go on the bigger wall. dresser should be in the corner right after you step out of the bath and the wardrobe will go on the opposite wall of the bed. please help me design this room in a modern way with the furniture orientation, wallpaper/textured paint, false ceiling (or not?)where should the wall shelves go which I definitely need to display the photos /showpieces.TIA

Pawan,

Yes, as per vaastu it is a bad choice to sleep with head pointing north. I don't know if any studies were conducted to prove or disapprove this. Do read about the reasoning thereof and it makes this an avoidable choice to us.

Please let me know if I have understood you correctly. From what I have understood you are looking to place the bed on the window wall. If yes, then it won't be a good sight every morning that you wake up to see your bathroom door. If the dresser isn't a fixed niche you could swing your bed between the two dresser slots. That way when you walk into the room, it will make an impressive entry. Think about it! Regards.

Your idea sounds great. Just ensure that the bigger 14' wall is not on the north side.

Is this for Vastu reasons? Or are there other reasons why a bed shouldnt be placed against a North Wall?

Hello P S, if you want the planning as per vastu, then the bed headboard should either be in south or east wall, family photos should be on the SW wall of the room.
