By observing the snaps , the column offset, from the wall surface, seems to be just about 3 inches ( 75 mm ) only. You can have a Gypsum board paneling, on the wall, ( i.e on both sides of the column surface) in line with the existing column surface Thus,this would become, an absolute flat surfaced wall behind the bed, hiding the column completely... & Once it is paint finished, it would not be noticed by anyone . Also, this would be the cheapest option.

Like you I fixed one cot my customer house they are also plan to cover pillars by photo frame or mirrors

Create your problem your solution. Create similar (false) columns or half the existing width and that would give it a design look and your real column would get sync with the back drop. You would save some bucks as well. You could then color them alternatively with contrast. Hope this resolves if you like then you owe me a coffee and perhaps one day we could have it too. :)

Well there is no negativity if you don’t consider it as such. Just move the bed further away from the closet to get some breathing space. You have to soften the beam, try adding glow-in-dark decals of stars and planets. Alternatively, hang artificial plants and flowers, it will look really nice. On the back wall, add a painting under the lamp, and some shelves on the opposite side. You may get it wall papered too. You will do just fine. And please paint the bed back in some interesting color.

U can put wooden fins ... on sides it could be of 1.5" more than column column depth and on column it can be 1.5" so its camouflaged well than if its too much wood u can paint it...attaching few ref images.

Make a Column wall of one surface adding gypsum / Ply on either side. Add nice wall painting on it.

For beam as per vastu place few glowing stars visible from the floor.
