Kitchen shutter finish

Hi

I have a room type small kitchen with two doors , one of which open to a balcony.There is a glass window also to let light in.

I and my husband dont like shiny surfaces,so we chose matt finish in membrane for shutters of our modular kitchen .Colour choice is white textured and navy blue .Both are matt.

We saw akitchen done up in open space in same colours ,it had strong lighting too.

But now i am a little worried bout choice of colour and finish.

Is matt a practical finish for kitchen and navy blue a right choice for small kitchen!

How to place the colours in top and botoom cabinets

pl help!

Thanks Reena, you may have to specify the current design stage you are in. If you have any 3d Pics from the design phase that'll help to figure it out.

Textured white may require a lot of attention to maintain in kitchen.

Given a choice the counter top and tiles could be brighter .

Your question has a few points which leaves it to readers imagination.

Matt Blue and White are a good combo. It would obviously not look showroom good because of the lights, size, tiling, furnishings and maintenance.

However, If you still have an option of giving it a second thought and the vendor is ok to share sample shutters take it to real site and see if you like it then.

@Cornerstone Designs 888.4851.444 Studio, Sorry but the design is finalized. Bright, Light and White. That was my idea for the kitchen. The only miss is the grooves in the cabinet doors. Apparently the design company I hired do not work with MDF or MDF with Duco Paint. For the tiles, gloss finish is something I am not looking for. And since the beveled edges are also unavailable, I am planning to go for basic matte white and black tiles from Johnson's. As below - Any suggestion with the colors though?

Hi Reena,

Agreeing to Cornerstone Professionals here.

However, if the construction has quite progressed and you don't have budget to change you can start thinking of ways to make it work :) It doesn't seem like it will be that off - the matt finish navy blue. Once its done, share pics and lets see how we can go around to making it still lively.

You mentioned " How to place the colours in top and botoom cabinets " for this, it would be easier to suggest if you'd share how the white and navy blue colours are distributed. Do you have a rending of this project you can share?

a smart shirt for a smart man. right now the man (existing space) needs a lot of work to be able to fit into the smart shirt (proposed cabinets).

thanks everyone for the prompt response.I hve still not placed the order .The placement of blue and white is all white on top and all navy below.I am awaiting the 3d still in the navy and white finish.So should i stop the order
