Hey Amit, Living areas need an clean flow of foot traffic. keeping it near the balcony would be ideal. that be default leaves the centre of all the door opening to be your dining area. To make the best of the space you will need modular and multipurpose furniture. This is something a trained designer will be able to help you with better. While DIY is an ambitious goal. Thanks everyone, I'm planning to get my floor tiled up soon, and then later the whitewash. So before all that, I wanna do away with the construction part, if required to transform this hideous corner. I had the roller blinds in my mind to hide these iron windows, but I will also look at options for changing them windows entirely if budgets allow. I might have to use some false ceiling work as well. Posters, I don't think can find space here, but a lounger sofa-bed is a surething with some nice lights. Please do share some pictures of the lights and loungers and floor tiles if you may, for suggestion. I'll be obliged. Thanks again!

Hi Mridul, Greetings, The comments that you have made seems to be spot on. Converting the living into a dining is a great idea depending upon how the furniture is placed and how the rest of the space gets integrated with the entire plan. For e.g. Keeping the dining in the centre and the tv unit on the adjacent wall will make the entire space fully functional as well as spacious. Also the puja room which seems to be very conjusted and small can be a part of larger space as shown in the plan attached and can also go on to the adjacent wall if given a thought. The store existing can be a little large in that case and can accomodate fridge and other kitchen storage pretty well with a sliding door which will make the space feel minimal and unobtrusive in terms of circulation. Now the furniture shown in the centre of kitchen and dining table can be utilized as a serving counter as well as for kitchen counter. The plan seems to have a lot of potential in terms of designing and also, the overall ambience will depend a a lot upon the style and the proportioning of the furniture.
