This is a dilemma indeed! Posts in the middle of rooms are always a little difficult. It would be helpful to have pictures of all four walls to suggest the best layout. From what I can understand of your dilemma, I've attached a layout that may work based on your description. It features a defined entry. So when you walk through the front door, you will see a console table with a couple of ottomans stashed beneath. They can come in handy for extra seating. In front of the console are two arm chairs, followed by a modular sectional - they make up your main seating area. To the right of the kitchen door is a TV console. Behind the sofa is a bookcase and to the right is a round table with a couple of chairs for games, paper work or what have you. You don't mention any windows. Is this the case? If so, we'll want to make sure you've got adequate lighting and colors that will work with the limited light. Hope this helps!

In One such house in Gujarat, Muninder and Bishakha coloured the old sofa set with whtie (The sofa is like yours) and changed the centre table. Interestingly, the family also had your kind of sofa set and they also want some modern style. The architect duo did not changed the sofa, just changed the colour. Hello Arsh, Thankfully it's one piece as we were hoping. To tone it down these are our suggestions: The wall behind this needs to be in grey color. Use the lighter shade of your Curtains grey stitch lines in Royale Aspira Paint. Use black and white photo frames on that wall. Combine a number of patterned black and white with bright yellow or blue cushions on this piece and Use a similar throw piece. Use a carpet if your budget permits. Please ask the upholsterers to finish the other sofas properly. The biddings are not straight and they are not there on the entire piece - like handles. Request your suggestion on most suitable place for TV unit with type of tv unit and sofa setup. At bottom is my civil plan with dummy placements of furniture. Plot is 30/50, West facing, with 4 square feet transparent glass on double-height and civil work completed. I kept living area large, since this is where the family spends the most time and I want to leave no stone unturned to make it look beautiful & utilitarian. Issues I am facing TV on Southside: I am ending up restricting the double-height view ( I have double-height on the Right-hand side after entry) . Also Blocking the view from the entry or squeezing setting place. TV on Westside: blocking the view or indoor garden (I have an indoor garden moment you enter inside the home, on the left side.) TV on Eastside: reflection from open walls of West & East. Also blocking the indoor garden view. TV on North Wall: Person will seat with a back on double-height, also giving back to any activity on the home. Seating may obstruct movement from entry to living.
