In One such house in Gujarat, Muninder and Bishakha coloured the old sofa set with whtie (The sofa is like yours) and changed the centre table. Interestingly, the family also had your kind of sofa set and they also want some modern style. The architect duo did not changed the sofa, just changed the colour. You can drop few chairs and opt for a single centre table

Chesterfield looks great with exposed brick walls and/or wooden flooring. Of course the classic aged brown leather is popular among mature users but the room has to be big enough so that the sofa becomes the focal point.

Apologies Pro, for speaking on her behalf but I guess she is referring to the alignment of the sofa and TV unit and the viewing angle. If the sofa is placed on the orange wall it has to be done after leaving the door space where as TV is place very near to the wall. Secondly, it will be too much of a viewing distance.
