Need help in designing kitchen and living room
Comments (5)asrabanu, the image did not come through as Houzz requires specific image formats for posting. Perhaps you can save the image as a .jpg for uploading. In my own experience, Home Depot (in Canada) does not charge for kitchen drawings. however, I am not comfortable saying "go get work done for free and then hire somebody else". What's more, I have found that you can purchase a Home Depot kitchen at far less cost than through specialty kitchen suppliers. But, as Marina say, your best bet--even if working with Home Depot or its equivalent--is to find a designer that can help you get the most out of the expenditures you make. There are many variables, but in a recent kitchen, we saved 25000+ over an equivalent designer kitchen with a good design concept that could be created out of lesser cost pieces, assembled to look custom. And, if going with any kind of box or contract-build type supplier, remember to build in time to fix errors and expect to use both the installer and a carpenter to achieve the custom look....See Moreneed help in designing of kitchen room and living room.

Comments (3)Given your space constraints, I think it would be best to hang the TV on the wall that is common to the study/living room (just to the right of the door entry). You could get two or three small upholstered chairs for the living area (gives you flexibility in moving them around.) I would have a table surface hung so it can swing out and be used on the wall between the door and the opening to the kitchen. If hung with a hinge attachment so it can be flat on the wall when not in use, you still have space to move around. Backless bar stools could be lined up on that wall when the table is stored flat to the wall, and still be used for more guest seating....See MoreNeed Help for my living room lightning please suggest me
Comments (66)OK... but the wire wont be lower as it is fixed now. The wire in the pics below is the wall facing each other. They were leveled on equal height but the beam on one wall makes it seem a little above. But i think you guys are absolutely right that up and down lights wont look good there. I think you are right about down lights lessismoore. Would it look good if i go with two different lights on opposite walls??? it would look odd right....See More- 11 years agolast modified: 11 years ago
