1] Ready made colour palettes available on the internet.
It gives you a ready made idea of what colours produce what effects and how they look in a live setting.
2] Fan decks available at local paint vendors.
You can play safe by selecting a monochromatic theme and stick to a single page of the fan deck or if you want to combine two colours in a theme, move horizontally along the same shade number. This way your colours would be visually balanced.
3] Apps such as Jotun Colour Design, Colour with Asian Paints - Wall Paint & Design App and Dulux Visualizer IN are also very good as you can actually see a virtual image showing the effect of a chosen colour in space.
If you still find it difficult to imagine, hire a professional who may help you out. All the best!
