Daughters bedroom paint studio

Friends i have a twelve year old daughter who loves to paint and write on a blackboard,I need suggestion on how to integrate the 2 areas in her bedroom.i have purchased a new house so right now her room has no furniture .But i need to put a bed and wadrobe,study area also in the same room .In the floor plan o is the washroom,there is a big window on oppositte wall.size of room 12''x12.3''

u can have a small bed , make over with space. Opposite of window beside washroom door go for wardrobe.

U can have study table either way

Ah, okay. It is a bed then. It can be converted into terrific seating with cushions, maybe a long bolster against the wall. I like Studio10001's suggestions. Going back to Chookchook's comment up top, I suggest that the first thing you do is find sheets or fabric your daughter would like for her bed and when the two of you have decided on that, post a picture of the fabric here and we can all pitch in with further colour (and other) suggestions. I'm intrigued by what's hanging on the lines strung across the room. ?

I'd go with a light silvery gray, in an adult, sophisticated style. Add a mirrored nightstand, hang a crystal pendent over it (you can get a plug in, and get a wall hanger to hang it from the wall, paint the hanger the same color as the wall). Some light purple and silver gray bedding, with a charcoal throw.

i agree with Ms. Rupal Shah as to get rid of the piece or redo it. If not you could probably use wallpaper to cover it. if not that even i have a suggestion for colour pallet. the wall opposite no. 3 should also be no. 3 and the wall opposite your green unit can have a custom wallpaper with shade 5, 4, and 2. you could also get a floral mural done in the same combination. Shade no. 1 (Sage) would be perfect for tufted head board for the bed. white bedsheets with large cushions in shade no. 5 (Burgundy) and shade no. 2 (rose pink) to top it off you could have some accessories such as: Dont forget to keep 1 or a few indoor plants too! 1. Though you have small windows keep curtains hign all along the ceiling to floor and hide curtain rods in false ceiling 2. If you have these windows at angle then you may opt for Angular curtain covering both the windows in one go. It will look beautiful 3. Hello Reena,If your daughter is passionate about painting and colouring then,

1) Dedicate one wall with black board paint so that she can always be a little more creative,

2) Go for some fresh colour theme for a fresh and joyful ambience,

3) Keep the furniture theme in some light colour to balance with the concept.

I have few suggestions regarding your design dilemma. (1) As you have mentioned that your daughter loves to paint and write on black board, design the room according to her personality. Paint a portion of front wall with blackboard paint to help her become more creative. I am attaching few pictures for reference. Please check.
(2) Personalize the room according to her color choice. As growing up girls love bright colors. Add elements that reflect her style. For example, you can hang some good wall art paintings. These will also inspire her.
(3) You can choose the left corner of bedside to make a beautiful study corner. This will not occupy much space and your daughter can easily organize her things.
(4) Don’t forget to use an area rug.
Hope these ideas will help you in designing the room.

Hi Reena,

It is better to have the chalkboard wall away from the bed or study table for health and convenience. Even the chalkboard wall can again occupy the whole wall or contained within a pattern like below:

For painting, a great way of using up space will be to purchase small square canvases that she can paint on and as she finished them, have a wall dedicated to this. This wall can be the wall with smaller width of space available where 3 or 4 canvases( atleast ) make a row.

She can paint on them and eventually fill up a small wall:

Try to stick to sheets that can keep up with this type of decor.
