Comments (44)I like second plan! That space will fit the wardrobe perfectly. Take all colors from the art. The colors can be lighter or darker than the colors you see in art. Take "Venice" with you to paint store and they might be able to help you choose good colors. Idea: paint four walls the same and see if you like that. If you feel the room lacks interest, then paint the accent wall. Choose a pale green that harmonizes with "Venice" and a darker green accent. Comments (4)Honestly I would paint all the walls white! Sounds boring but it will look really light and airy. Think of all the wood as a bonus because it looks like built ins everywhere. One small thing you could do to the cabinets around mirror is add washi tape in a border/design(easy to remove); i would do it in white. (picture shown). They will be a lot more visually interesting. If you cant change the curtains I would consider adding extra panels in white to make the existing panels look luxurious. I have never liked behind the bed shelves... Personally I would wrap the whole thing in navy fabric like a headboard. Then carry the theme of navy white and wood with pops of another color...pink or green?...See MoreAdvice regarding color change for veranda
Comments (23)What a beautiful house, Shahbaaz! I live in a similar house - a 150-year-old colonial bungalow in Kumaon. You have already received lots of excellent advice from better-qualified people, so all I would say is, keep its age and heritage character the central theme. The white tiles do clash, I am afraid ... flooring with terracotta tiles would echo the roof and look lovely. The columns and the arches over the doors and windows are amazing. But I'd say, leave it all chuna-painted - there's a beauty and softness to it. Don't let the painters add too much neel (indigo) in the limewash -- in the hills where I live, they put far too much if I don't watch out and the result is a harsh white. Natural lime has a softer, creamy look....See Moreneed kitchen ideas
Comments (15)Hello there, Your kitchen is aligned perfectly and don't need to do anything huge to transform the place. Few tweaks suggested : 1. Restore ambient illumination levels with recessed lighting. 2. Stencil paint a geometric pattern on the ceiling 3. Profile lighting under top units for task lighting 4. White backsplash to be painted in a pattern of bold colors. 5. Paste small white wooden/laminate strips on top cabinets in a chevron pattern to enhance aesthetics.
