Hi Ni, I just thought of something....did you say you planned to do the stencil motifs on the window wall? If so, I am thinking they will be mostly hidden by the curtains. I wonder if it might be better to stencil the long wall that is on the right side of the room when looking toward the window. I could see this being a pretty backdrop to the prayer box (I think that’s what you called it?) and your wood cuttings. Then maybe the opposite wall (the one with the kitchen doorway) could hold a large piece of art?

It is important to determine what your needs are--take a measurement of how much hanging rod space you need for short, medium and long items and this will guide placement of double rods to maximize space. Otherwise, consider what you want/need in relation to folding and hanging items, drawers versus shelves, etc. There are many online closet organizing sites that can help!

Option 4. I would not have more than 2 different cabinet finishes. Darker, grounded look for the base and island, with lighter, airier look for the uppers would balance the room.

Your setting is good but could be better.the centre table is a misfit.you can use 2 level rectangular table either white poly paint one level and the other level glass or black paint or poly paint.keep the length of the table after leaving approx 16 to 18"on either side.the width can be20-22 " and ht 16".the cushions can be change to black and white design,with a dash of red.a nice rug with grey,black and white geometric design will enhance the effect.brown does not go well with white.i hope this should solve your problem.once you make this change.you eye will pick up the other flaws.
