I'd suggest you have a look through the photos section on Houzz - or there's quite a few good articles on how to decorate :) maybe both you & your wife could save pictures to an ideabook with a few words on what it is you like about each one, and it'll give you more of an idea of what type of things you like? I think colour-wise, turquoise and peach can go together really well - maybe a warm cream colour on the walls & pops of turquoise and peach in the form of throw cushions etc.? Again, just searching on Houzz can give you some great ideas - just literally searching 'turquoise and peach' brings up quite a lot of pictures :) to get you started I've just picked out a few which I personally think work well :)

Hi! I'm so glad I came across your floor plan, got pretty excited and ideas started flooding. Firstly, I'm uploading a draft of a floor plan I made as a rough copy (with a pencil and a paper), so kindly excuse the imperfections. (please refer to the picture I've posted along with this.) Secondly, as you mentioned, you would want to include the balcony in your seating area, I recommend you to break the wall and instead use French windows to allow the light within and it'll also feel very open. Then, about the kitchen, as you said you wouldn't want a large dining area, you could take that space for an open kitchen, where the counter also serves as the dining space from the outside. And since, the kitchen would be made towards the direction of the arrow pointed (refer to the pic) we get ample space to make a Pooja room. And to give an enclosed feel to the living room I chose and L shaped couch for it. I would suggest you to go for a mounted TV on a rotatable stand on the wall so that its accessible from anywhere across the room. Having done that, we are still left with some space (marked with a circle in the pic ) which could be used to put some more seats for the living room OR... (THIS IS MY FAV PART IN A HOUSE!) you could also use that space to mount a swing from the top. There were few more probabilities to do this house, but I genuinely found this one to be the best, coz I'm a huge fan of open spaces, and it's a good layout a lot of things could be done with it. Hello, I feel that you can design this bedroom by having 1 opaque wall at the back, and 3 transparent walls using glass & steel or glass & wooden french doors. The walls should be white, with minimal accents of blue or green, use 2 layers of curtains with sheer, and brass hanging lamps. All doors can be white PU paint. Waterproofing this bedroom will be essential, so make sure you have sealed all joints and surfaces, with a minimum of 2 feet roof overhangs. Hope this helps! G

Dear Mr. Maverick, Hope you are doing great. Seeing at your post its very clear that you are a passionate person and taking your designing process seriously. Also you are accepting that you are not a designer yourself which is a good gesture against those clients who think themselves superior when it comes to design choices but knows nothing in real. I agree with above replies to share some information about your house starting with the floor plans as without these no one would be able to help you in any way. Also you need to understand that designing is a subjective and time consuming process and doesn't happen in an instant. If its just about getting ideas then you can find millions on google search. But being on Houzz platform is a great thing as its full of many talented professionals contributing to the solutions best way possible.
