Ideas for refurnishing living room
Comments (7)The wood is beautiful. To me, the wood has an oriental-Japanese-inspired vibe. This wall's paint is nice, if your can match. Here's a method of choosing wall paint: http://www.lindaholtinteriors.com/2011/07/testing-wall-color-101/ Can you keep just the curtain panels and remove the sheers? At a later time, a non-patterned curtain panel the color of wall. I saw the art and I think it is OK, but not for this room. Perhaps in a bedroom? I don't understand the theme you have going? Giraffes? Clocks? If you like clocks, remove the giraffes and buy something like a large round wrought iron "clock". Note also the rug, pillows & throw as inspiration for your room. Perhaps the TV console in a lighter tone wood like their end tables (your room = too much black)....See MoreWhat do you all think about this living room design?
Comments (14)I like the ceiling. I think the hanging lights are too fancy and distract from the ceiling decor. A simpler light would look better or sticking with the canned lights you have. The walls have too many big, black things on them. It's hard to tell if they are windows with shade --- in which case I'd pick something lighter, perhaps to echo the ceiling, TVs (how many do you need?) or what. I'd consider a big piece of statement art in the place of at least one. If you're on a budget, get a large, high quality photo in the right colors, you can take it yourself. Sepia and black architectural might work. I like more color and more natural light. You may have closed the shades for a better picture, so it's hard to comment on the light, plus windows are a feature of your room, not exactly a decorator's choice. I would consider how to get a few small pops of color in, pillows, flowers, candles, maybe even a runner rug along the right wall. If you are doing this as part of a portfolio, the entire ensemble would look more welcoming with a few touches like someone lives there. Something on the coffee table, for example. A few books and a candle. A tray with tea things, a vase of flowers or basket of fruit. Pick one or two things and make it composed. You see this a lot in designer Houzz photos. Here's an example, you note this picture would be a lot more stark with an empty table: https://www.houzz.com/photos/21-house-contemporary-living-room-san-francisco-phvw-vp~60642...See MoreNeed ideas to decorate living room, bedroom and kitchen having ivory c
Comments (4)Why don't you troll Houzz first and build an idea book of anything you like for each room. Then go back and see if you notice a reoccurring furniture design, wood color, style ... Any kind of preference. Any of us can post three gorgeous rooms for you, but they will be a reflection of our taste and not yours....See MoreIdeas for living room
Comments (14)Hi Good Morning! Location is Goa, well I don't have a revised, request the builder to provide me one. The north is towards the master bedroom, balconies to the east are still part of the plan whereas smaller balconies to the west ones have been integrated with the kitchen and master bedroom resp. Well, Mr. Nitin not open to any kind of civil work, open to flexible ideas in decorating my living room eg prayer space with room divider or so.. Thanks Shivam...See MoreLindsey Christensen
