can I have an island counter in the kitchen

enclosing a plan for my kitchen , please suggest with pictures if I can incorporate a small working island in it!!!!
secondly should it be fixed or moveable???,

In place of Island platform you can simply place a service platform or dinette near refrigerator so the serving gets better.Also please revise the sofa arrangment as it is blocking the vision and creating contraction.make the Passage and kitchen partition wall align to dinning table.Please add some crockery unit near dinning table.thanks.
