I've inherited this house and started some renovation work. My problem is how to decorate the living cum dining area. The colour palette in my mind is beige and orange as The highlight. On wall 1 I would like to put the tv. But I don't how how to arrange my chairs and sofa and the dining table which we r yet to buy. The 4th wall shows the kitchen door. This room will be mainly used as a family room and to entertain very close friends. As we have a formal sitting area downstairs. Please help me with your valuable suggestions. first of all, Thank you guys for those valuable inputs. yes, as far as cleaning goes, its just been finished installing and I have asked them to clean them up. And also, I observed that the frosting on the glass didn't look that good, so I am going for the filming on certain portions of the doors n windows. - Is there a particular quality of films that I may choose for this ? - Yes, lighting is definitely the criteria I had in mind which can bring up the finish to this. And i am worried about this , as I did not go for False Roofing, bcos the ceiling is already at a low height. I should really refine my ideas on the lighting part. - the stairs are floored with white Marble stone..My mom loves it and the matting on it might hinder its beauty, but yes I will surely consider that as well. Ideally the tv should be near the sofa. But if that is not possible then you can make a simple wooden shelf with the wood panel going right behind the tv. Something like this. You can make only one shelf but next to the tv not below it as it may hamper the movement near the dining table

I wish you all the best for your renovation. One of the most positive thing about the house is space looks convenient. To start of with the designing, 1. first let us start with a creating a focal point, now that the sofa Color is Blue, let us try creating a palette (photo attached) starting with blue, so we can paint white Color on the walls. 2. let us put on two mirrors on both sides of adjacent walls of the curtain which makes it look spacious and reflects light. It gives a cool effect. Even when the curtains are covered. 3. U many use a rug to match the Color of sofa and white walls. Make sure the rug is either beige or a combination of blue, white and grey hues. So that it complements everything well. 4. U may paint the wall behind the TV grey or give it a wooden panelling effect with wallpaper or tiles. That makes a focal point. 5. Increase the height of TV stand with Aluminium or Stainless steel rods, u will find them in the market and paint it white. (Photo attached)
