Comments (20)Mohammad. I understand your program. You may be lost in the details at the moment. Please do follow and trust the advice given here by all these people. You are about to embark on a reasonably expensive journey. Get professional help with someone who you can sit down at a table and brainstorm with them your ideas and intentions. There are Architects and there are professional building designers who are members of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) who are well versed in projects such as yours. I personally love a design challenge. After 38 years designing homes and special use buildings I enjoy this type of challenge the most. I am in Ohio and may not be close to where you are but I am sure with a little investigation you will find the best design professional for you....See MoreAsk the Houzz Experts: Revamping your Home's Exterior----CLOSED
Comments (23)Hi Rahul Satija To answer your question, regarding which material to use for the outsides of your home Terracotta Brick - unless you have used bricks that are meant to be left exposed, ordinary bricks will take in a lot of water and leave the walls damp, and hence not a great idea. You could ofcourse cover it with a veneer of brick cladding but that is something we would not propose. Between wooden cladding and paint, it frankly depends completely on your budget. Wooden cladding looks extremely good but is quite pricey. Our suggestion would be to paint the majority of the home, with highlights in parts in wooden cladding....See MoreAsk the Houzz Experts: Best Bedroom Arrangements for your Space-CLOSED
Comments (11)Hello Kayzad Shroff & Maria Leon! I'm designing my bedroom all by myself and now I want it to seem like I'm living among a rainforest. So I went for wooden times, veneer laminate wardrobes. The bed will be a platform bed so it'll be low to the ground. I'm now stuck with the ceiling and the wall opposite to the headboard. I thought of wall murals, but that particular wall has windows on the right side, so can't get the wall murals/wallpapers to give that Forest feel. So could you help with your suggestions?...See MoreAsk The Houzz Experts: Staircase Design-- CLOSED
Comments (12)sararahim123 What constitutes an adequate illumination level varies from person to person. What exactly do you require illuminated? If its simply ambient light you would have tiny lights as shown that throw light on the stairs itself. If a bit more is required you could consider adding a railing with a light under. If general illumination is what you are going after, but in a muted way, would suggest wall scones that throw light upwards onto the ceiling, diffusing the light....See MoreRita Bhatia
