Stay with light beige for your main pieces like the sofa and chairs. Add in other colors and patterns with pillows and throws. Keep the drapes simple and hang them high as possible (with a traditional height ceiling not a vaulted). It would help to have pictures and to know what style of furniture you prefer--modern, traditional or a mix.

Thank you for posting the pic. Is it just open space opposite the chairs and a blank wall with the entry door? Any windows on that wall? Is that a table showing on the right of this pic, or a counter between living room and kitchen? My first thoughts are that those chairs must be pulled away from the wall and angled in some way, and somehow you need to find space for more seating. Could you angle them towards each other against the room divider, or is that a cupboard you need access to? Then you could turn the table 90 degrees, and place other seating facing the chairs. I'm liking the idea of picking up on colour from the green glass on the table, but I'm not sure how yet. I have a busy day ahead but I hope to check in later.

Personally I wouldn't paint the door and window but if you don't like it I'd paint it a soft white. I'd go for a pale but warm grey on the wall with full length curtains to match and add your favourite colour/s in accessories. If you're not keen on pale grey I'd go for an off white with a yellow undertone (farrow and ball do some great colours which would work) IF you can get an upholstered bed I would but if not add cushions and a throw. I'd also add a rug under the bed for softness. Do you have a ceiling light? A mirror and some great art would complete it. I wouldn't add a curtain to the wardrobes, I don't think it needs it

Hi Manaswini, First decide if you want the bedroom to be bright and airy or dramatically dark as this will influence the type of monochromatic look you are going for. If you veer towards the former then keep a majority of your bedding white or light grey while the adding a hint of darkness through a few small cushions. On the flip side, if you want a dark and cosy bedroom, then opt for a plain dark bedding that contrasts with the duvet. We suggest opting for a dark grey/brown rather than a going for completely black sheets as this adds visual interest. You can bring in pops of colour through the elements of decor such as a large piece of artwork above the bed, a rug under the bed or a lamp on the side table.
