Need your suggestion for the room sizes of kitchen and masterbedroom

This is my floor plan. I got confusion in the sizes of kitchen and master bedroom toilet. what will i need to do? Is this right size or do i need to increase or decrease the size? can any one suggest?

Please give some designing ideas of living room and kitchen.

Hi Bala,

It seems proper. Although I suggest you increase the kitchen width if possible.Then for the common toilet, shift EWC in middle and shower area positioned at last, so as to separate wet and dry area. Always ensure that you have a dry and wet area separate when it comes to the bathroom.

The sizes of the master bedroom are alright.

Embrace the arches and keep it light, but add some contrast. Paint every wall with an arch in it fresh white, all ceilings too. Paint the adjecent walls a soft color. For example; when you keep the kitchen tile, you could paint the walls above it a soft pink or mauve. I see three open areas, so you could divide those with three soft colors and white inbetween. Keep most lights simple and functional, uplights will enhance the arches, glass pendants will add warmth. And I think a soft olive or sage green is a great color for a living room.

OK... but the wire wont be lower as it is fixed now. The wire in the pics below is the wall facing each other. They were leveled on equal height but the beam on one wall makes it seem a little above. But i think you guys are absolutely right that up and down lights wont look good there. I think you are right about down lights lessismoore. Would it look good if i go with two different lights on opposite walls??? it would look odd right.

If I'm correct then your house is south facing. Are you seeking the Rooms directions as per vastu? If yes then please reassure the directions with the compass and send exact positions. As per the directions --- the kitchen should be in SE corner of the building, Master bedroom in SW , no Toilets in the Eastern or Northern part of the house, Pooja in the east side of the house that means the person who is doing the pooja should face East.

Hi Bala,

There are lots of concepts to go into designing of a kitchen. Do you like traditional, modern or do have anything specific in mind that you can convey?

Regarding RCC staircase, firstly I'd like to know whether the construction has been started or not? According to the elevation, we can go for the designing of a staircase that merges with the elevation and not just feels like an odd element out. Hope you understand.
