You have very high walls so I would do a tall wainscot on the walls to create some warmth and decoration at the same time. Take everything off the walls and remove all the small little shelfs and decorations, leave only the big furniture. Then start over with the wall decor. Need some bold statements to create some balance and interest but not clutter. Add some larger shelves if you need shelves, something hefty and interesting. It's hard to see wall color and how it works with the upholstery. Do you need all that furniture in the space? I would thin it out. Remove one of the sofas and place the chairs across from the other one. Open up the space in front of the window. Add a sofa table behind a sofa along the wall and decorate it with a couple large vintage style lamps with some accent color (pull a color from the rug that you like) on each end and tablescape the middle of the table. Add a huge mirror above Bring that same accent color into the space with some bookshelf decor but not cluttery. I am not a fan of the drapes; something more neutral in a grommet panel style that can easily be opened. Hang them at the ceiling. They will look really nice because they create nice gentle folds if the fabric is a bit heavy for weight. Upholstery and egg crate type foams will not be rigid, and may not be flame retardant. EPS and XPS construction insulation foam are lighter weight, more rigid, and could be covered with batting and fabric. They come in 4'x8' sheets, but can be cut with a utility knife into smaller sizes. They are available from a big box home improvement store like HD or Lowes. Not sure if they are flame retardant. Depending on how large a piece you are mounting, I would think they may be light enough in weight that they could be mounted to the wall with 3M removeable hangers of some sort.

Thanks for both of your responses CUBSpaces team and Shweta from Shades studio. It really gives a clarity about possible consequences. I am now doubt free about changing whole things in Bathroom as it will be interconnected. However will appreciate your opinion on few things: 1. Kitchen wall tiles: I have those from countertop height to roof(almost area of 6X15 feet) which are good and not hollow. I changed countertop 5 years back without any damage to these tiles. It might cost me another 10-15 K, but I feel the whole process and quantity of wasting old good tiles makes me little sad. 2. kitchen countertop: Made new around 5 years back. I don't expect to get it all intact. But large pieces can be cut and can be used as top for other freestanding structures like dishwasher, front load washer, heighten base cabinets, etc. 3. Plywood: I don't mind giving enough labour charges for old sheets recycle. I am planning to use doors, loose sheets(like kept on bed frame of settee frame.) or parts of big frames like settee. I am keen on reducing waste than to save money. You can see various DIY ideas by western people, who remove or sand laminates and re-paint furniture, or carefully remove hollow tiles and re-attach them. Some are also re-painting ceramic tiles. I am just asking myself: Are we creating more and more waste by use and throw approach every 10-15 years, just because we can afford it?

Zet Lee, It is a typical example of proportions going wrong. We often pick up an image and replicate it with personal tweaks but thanks to limited foresight of workers we end up landing elsewhere. Anyways, curtains ideally should have a very small role to decide the furniture finishes. Furniture is permanent upholstery changes every couple of years. IMHO, upholstery should compliment the furniture and not the other way round. If the laminates are already procured then can you accommodate any changes suggested? Let us know. There are a few issues visible. The bed does not have a central support and please also make sure you have a plan for electric board on the left side of the bed shouldn't land up on the back cushions.
