In the quest to make it the highlight, we have created a huge structure here. I am sure that it already attracts all the attention.

We may need to reduce the gigantic proportions of this structure. It can be done either structurally, I.e. making it sleeker - which I don't think you would be interested in.

Or Visually, by diverting the attention away from the size by using lighter colors, using mirrors , lacquered glasses or lights effects.

great.. thanks i am planning to have a horizontal mirror in the middle portion covering all pillars... and may be design at top and bottom..what do you like about this ? the mirror will give a more spacious feeling

re do what part ? ...and what would be an alternate solution ... as of now...

That was for your question, what would you do if it were yours ? As this is going to be centrepiece , we would re do it from the scratch.

I understand it is costly call.

You plan seems fine, an acrylic sheet which will be illuminated from top and bottom, covered with an MDF sheet to show only limited acrylic sheet area.
In the middle have mirror panelling. Please try avoid 3 equal areas as is done currently.

Before we start doing it try doing it for any one side of outermost pillar. Only once you are convinced , it will be worthwhile to do it for remaining pillars and other sides of that pillar.

Please share a wide angle picture of this room from the entrance and exit side. You may please call us anytime between 12-2 PM today.

Good news is that from the wider angle it does not look obtruding.Other parts are done quite well !

It doesn't look like we need 3 pillars here, wont 2 be sufficient..

Hi Amit...We would have reduced one but now that would be to re do paint and Pop etc... hence we want to avoid it and also our aim is to keep this as an opaque partition to not allow view of people using the stairs

The Pillar size is 9 feet. What would be the proportion for acrylic / mdf and mirror.any specific shape for mirror ???

if i include the bulb area at the bottom it comes to 9.26 feet

Suggest to just buy crystal beaded curtains(google it) and hang both side. lit the 3 colored light from below. you can also look at ways to incorporate tiny LEDs with those curtains.

If you like.. you can place 3 thin bamboo planters (living or artificial) to bring up the outdoors IN. Also your pillars are good to hang the small planters.. But depends on your taste.

For your samples, after the bulb area 21+33+54 inches respectively.

21 is for acrylic ? 33 is for mirror and then 54 is for acrylic ? is this correct ?

You can put colorful lights at the bottom and some long artificial hanging plants and flowers which are placed upside down so that when lights fall from bottom it will look beautiful. you can cover the gaps between bars with some designer glasses available online

Yes sure ... we did something which I believe is a club of various ideas and expertise..
Though incomplete now , I will post what we have done till now.
First we have around 8 feet appox glass 12 mm between the pillars.
secondly we have three boxes 27" in height with focus halogens at the bottom.
Now we will decorate these boxes with glass pebbles for awesome reflective / color effect.
-I do need idea on what fillers can be used which will make me buy less glass pebbles ..else i would need at least 30kg plus of these pebbles.
Thirdly we will now have glass film behind these 3 tall glasses to make it quite attractive and something which will look better with or without light. The idea is to add some golden plants in the middle i.e golden leaves and branches etc.
-I would like more input on what films would look great behind these pillars. Or any other idea.
I will definitely post once we are done with it.
