Need help for balcony

My third floor flat has two balconies.One along the living room and one with bedroom.Should I convert the balcony attached to bedroom to a small study room with glass walls.

If you want your plant to grow above the balcony edge, you need one that grows tall but is pretty resistant to wind and sun. How about bamboo in a planter. They grow tall and do a great job (all year round) of hiding what is next door. They are fairly low maintenance and self-sufficient once established. Cons: They do cause a lot of leaf drop - some species look pretty awful in the winter... but you can find some that are beautiful. Go for a clumping bamboo.

antislip and easy maintainance tiles for exterior is the key. choose any shade, colour, size. must not have deep textures as that's gonna be tough later in use. do consider slope and drainage appropriately as terrace may lead to water proofing issues in future. make sure skirting is everywhere and corners with top part of the balcony wall is tiled properly. thanks shradha shah beescheese design

Hi Rejitha, I guess that would depend on a few things. For instance, is the balcony useable (as-is) all year round or do you experience cold weather preventing use at certain times of the year. Also which direction does the balcony face? If it faces south, you may have to consider AC if it were enclosed in glass. Two very different environments between glass enclosed or open air... But in the end, whichever you think you would get most use of the space, is the one that works best.
