hi i m planning to make a house on 1300 sq ft as i m having a big family i need atleast 5 rooms,a big kitchen
Comments (8)I think they mean 5 rooms, not 5 bedrooms.....one master bedroom and 2 bedrooms for children with twin beds or bunk beds in each. I lived in a 1,300 sq ft house for 2 yrs with my husband and 2 sons. My suggestion would be to have an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining area and family room in one large room. Add a bar in the kitchen for casual dining. Be sure to include storage in family room for toys, games, etc. Add a built in desk in eiher the kitchen or family room areas . The master bedroom and bath should be large enough to accomodate a queen size bed and if possible a sitting area (maybe a bay window large enough for for a small loveseat or a couple of comfortable chairs). I would recommend a large walkin shower but no tub for the master bath. Instead have a nice size tub/ shower combo in the hall bath. Too make your house feel larger, use neutral camel, beige, gold or grey paint and carpet through out the kitchen, dining area, family, hallways and hallbath. If you want to add color, limit it to 3 bedrooms. Hanging all your window treatments at ceiling height will make your rooms feel larger and taller....See MoreHELP...Need decorating ideas for small living room
Comments (3)Hey Amit, Living areas need an clean flow of foot traffic. keeping it near the balcony would be ideal. that be default leaves the centre of all the door opening to be your dining area. To make the best of the space you will need modular and multipurpose furniture. This is something a trained designer will be able to help you with better. While DIY is an ambitious goal. This is a challenge. We would advice finding a designer that you felt comfortable with. Hope this helps! Comments (8)I wouls get rid of 1/2 the pillows on the sofa too matchy add an area rug that is bright with some other colors to use for accents you have IMO too much brown so I would do blue drapes in the DR take the cloth off the table and add a blue and orange glass bowl for a centerpiece filled with green apples get some pillows in green and orange and a big piece of art work for the wall above the sofa and maybe a mirror on the DR wall and a fabulous light fixture for the DR an arc lamp behind the sofa in the corner so it comes out far enough into the room to light a coffee table....See MoreSMALL BUDGET BIG MAKEOVER IDEAS
Comments (12)Hi Ankur, Since you have specifically mentioned low cost, will point out the major things that need to change. A big reason it all looks cluttered is because things don't match each other. That dice table and the sofa dont match each other nor the divan. Stick to a set of colours or theme. RnD has given you good suggestions already. If you are going to keep the sofa - the cover on throw pillows don't match the print on the sofa. Anoth option is to do upholstry and change the colour. How about pink ? Here is an example: If you want to stick to black its still fine, but when you add throw pillow, do ensure that not only do the colours match but the prints - they need to make sense too. The coffee table doesn't look that nice. If you could use tinted glass it would have been better. The wooden base of the divan is boring and doesn't match the other items. If not anything, atleast paint it. The dice ottoman doesn't match the present sofa nor divan. The show pieces - update them! Bring more interesting things. The pink table near the sofa- again doesn't match anything. change the sheets of the divan. Change the tablecloth on the table near the partition. These are some of the things. If you present choices we can try to help you choose but else its best to go for professional help.
