Anoop, How would your floor plan impact your decision to go for modular kitchen or semi modular? The difference is just in the process of manufacturing and not so much in the end result. You can compare them based on cost, convenience, transparency, control required. I guess your floor is ideal suited for L shape or a u shape kitchen only and you may want to extend it a bit by using the area behind the kitchen entrance wall. Hello Aniruddha, First of all, the proportions and scale of the cabinets look completely off. The relation of line and level with the window and the sizes also look off. For anything look aesthetically pleasing, we need to first get the line and levels correctly and symmetrical. Secondly, it seems like the overhead cabinets are too much on a height for you to access them. So you might want to reduce the height of them to access it. If you don't want to reduce the height then you can create an open shelf concept to fill the gap between the dado tiles and the overhead cabinet. Don't leave the wall exposed since it may catch moisture and cooking deposits on it turning it oily and black, either tile it up or add an open shelf. The better detail would be tile it up with a white basic tile and then make the open shelf on it so that the back ply of the open shelf is not directly touching the wall and it has a layer of tile protecting any fungus or termites from attacking the ply. You can also add a profile light within the open shelf to add some aesthetic value to the kitchen. I am sending you a reference photo to make you understand the details I am talking about.
