need help for tv placement

Hi guys, in a predicament here regarding placement of tv in living room here. Its a new flat and size of my living room is 11*17....on entering the living room via main door, bang opposite are my windows on the whole wall, thereby leaving no choice for tv placing. I wish to place my two seater sofa on the left wall of the room which again leaves no space for tv....then the last end of the room, i.e the right most wall of the room will be my dining place...hence again no option there...please suggest me something, otherwise i wont have any other choice except for placing the tv in bedroom, which I sincerely dont want...attaching pics here of the living room for some reference.
1st pic is the windows wall opp the main door entry. The windows cover the whole room, hence no wall there.
2nd pic is the wall on left when one enters through the main door.Here i am thinking of placing the sofa set and a mirror frame above it.
3rd pic is the wall opposite the sofa set arrangement, where my dining table would be, flanked by an art frame on the wall
4th pic is the wall to the right when one enters in living room via main door. It is quite thin and will have door camera and other album stuffs.

Hi Manas,

There is one option i.e. if you don't want to do any major changes you will have to take the wiring from sofa wall till TV wall and you can hide it using conduit. Or

You can take a grove from one wall till the partition wall and get it filled.

Partition is supposed to be a ply wall of 3 inches which will have framework in center and ply on either sides.

We are attaching two reference images one with designer panel and one with plane. You can use whichever you like.

Ok, seems some sort of jumbling while uploading the pics..1st pic is the dining table wall, 2nd pic is the sofa wall, 3rd one is the whole windows wall, 4th is the thin wall between living room and kitchen

hi. why do you think a solid wall can be the only way to place your TV. The TV can easily go on a console on front of the windoe

You have all the reasons to redo the house, its very lifeless and looks worn out. I feel creating a separation will terminate the spaciousness of the room. Adding colours will surely help, Since you have a tan color sofa,I suggest grey, white or light blue color on one of the walls. Add some art works of the color you chose for the wall. This room needs some fillers like , books, throws, candle stands tall and lean. YES DON FORGET 1. Mount the tv on the wall make some space on the floor and Fix a large size mirror ( Wooden Frame if you can afford).

Hi, thanks for your advice. Placing a tv on a console in front of window will block the outside view as well as take up precious floor space, which i dont want...the flat is small and i want to maximize the space feel by keeping the design open...also, i have planned a low seating wooden space just beneath the window to make up for a cozy seating area.

Here is the plan...placement of furniture in the plan does not do justice in real life because the area is really less and i need the space to feel free and easily walkable.

A is the entry point, B is the living space, C is the balcony and D is the kitchen. The wall just besides C is a full window, the one overlooking three set sofa and dining table

Hi Manas,

You can create a partition of 3 inch between your dining area and your living area. Length can vary depending upon the size of the TV. This will allow you to have circulation space and a small division between dining & living.

We have attached a rough sketch for your reference.

Thanks Team Offroad...your help is appreciated and the advice sounds good too...but what is the partition supposed to be..a wall or a tv stand? In both the cases, how can the electricity socket and tv cable wire can be brought into play out of nowhere in the middle of a room? Please advice if i am missing something. Thanks

its too small a space to have a partition. your whole object is to achieve free movement and a sense of space. the tv position is the best suited as shown on the plan. You can get rid of the dining table altogether and build a compact breakfast bar by the kitchen opp to the fridge. A large coffee table with seating cushions

Hi Manas,

The images have created a doubt. As per your description and floor plan there should be balcony right opposite to entrance. In the images it shows a large window and balcony on the right. Is the balcony near the dining area.? Would you not have a plan with measurements?

Few more questions , what on the far end of kitchen?

Are you open to some civil changes, and if is allowed by the builder.

Hi Nitin, the balcony is indeed on the right and the big window is opposite the entrance door...the plan i have attached here is for odd floors while my flat is on even floor..apart from the placement of balcony and window, everything is in the same order.
No major civil work will be possible due to time and money constraints both. At the far end of kitchen, i will be installing the washing machine at the last end of the wall opposite to the refrigerator.

Hello Manas,

Given the conditions you have mentioned it will be best suitable to have the TV unit as per the current plan. And instead of 2+2+1 sofa a L shaped one would be better fr space planning and a 4 seater dining table would be ideal .. even your plan of low height seating for dining area will be great.

You can also try having a mirror panelling on the dining wall to make the room look bigger.

This plan is a bit weird. :(
