5x3 pooja room is not a big one.

However, it will be a good idea to do the civil changes you mentioned.You will get additional space that ways .

What do you plan to do with that new space. We see a beam in that area, keep that in mind before you proceed with the changes.

Wall mounted pooja unit is doable in multiple areas as per the plan. Do you have the directions mentioned in the floor plan to suggest it as per Vaastu.

Thanks for your input. Please find attached floor plan with direction.

I am not sure what to use the free space for. But I felt those free space will give lots of openness to the dining area. However we can still do a wall mount Pooja unit at the same place. In that case the depth could be limited to 14 inch instead of current 3 feet. Also the height could be 2 or 3 feet. And then may be a bookshelf next to Pooja wall unit.

Please advise.

As per the direction the back side wall of the Living wall would be ideal for wall mounted temple.

The Dining hall is the biggest area of this plan, Usually the living would be biggest and most used area of any house. May be you want to use it only for formal seating. Otherwise, we would have liked to see a bigger living room.
