Comments (5)#1 is the only one that works with your doorways. But I would rethink the sectional pieces which look too large. You will need at least a floor lamp. Your table/chairs looks narrow in relation to your sectional - is it to scale in the drawing? You may not have enough room. Comments (8)Hey Rohit, One thing we have learned that it is difficult to convert our weaknesses to strengths, but it is very doable! 42' of living and dining room space could be advantageous! off the top of our heads, here are a few things you could do. Split the space into formal and informal seating areas, basically creating 2 rooms (not counting the dining) in one space Push the dining in the middle of the room, closer to the middle bedroom, and add a swing near the balcony. In case the large size makes it uncomfortable, you can add a partition between the dining and balcony. and design the space in a way that opening the balcony doors, converts your indoors to outdoors, creating the feel of a terrace. lastly, the simplest of solutions would be to add a partition (solid or otherwise) to divide in room into 2 parts, a living space and a dining space! 10 years agoOkay, right now i have just one picture. This might give you an idea about how big the windows are. I wanted to know if bamboo blinds would look good..or too heavy? The balcony outside will have wall climbers on the side walls (which will be painted yellow) I will upload more pictures of the living room tomorrow.

10 years agoI don't like the idea of 4 chairs + recliner. That would be awkward. Certainly 4 chairs would work. You could also have a sofa perpendicular to the windows on the far left or right depending on which side your front door's on? Then add two chairs and a coffee table. Put a sofa table behind the couch with a couple of lamps. Add rug.

10 years agoYour doors look like sliding doors not French doors, is that correct? If they are sliding then you'll probably need a rod and panels that pull all to one side. You don't seem to have a privacy issue so I'd go with something light that's not too sheer but lets the light in.
Are wall climbers like lattice work? I wouldn't paint any color since you'll want your plants to be the focal point.
Looks like you'll need an area rug? What's your taste or style?

10 years agoBe sure to include some palms on your balcony. You'll want a couple of lounge chairs, too.

10 years agoHere are more pictures. Main door is exactly opposite the big opening. Forgive my ignorance, as I wasn't aware they are not called french windows. Since there is not much space between the main door and the big windows, I don't want to stuff it with furniture. Also, since we like big spaces, we would like to keep it as simple as possible. Anyway, my main concern right now is whether the bamboo blinds will work for these big windows, or they will give a stuffed look as soon one enters?
