Need help with my bathroom and adjoining dress space.
Comments (9)Thanks a lot for your comment. I wouldn't exactly call it a walk in-closet. As you can see from the drawing, Its space provided for two single wardrobe (one on each side). Maximum width can be around 3.5 ft. The humidity point is quite relevant. The question is would it be possible to include a wet room in the space i.e. 6ft x 8.6ft. - considering I don't remove the dress wall. Wanted to get a sense on the possible layout. Thanks and look forward to your advise....See MoreIs it necessary to put dressing table near the bathroom?
Comments (5)Hi Anisha, Here are a few suggestions that may help you - 1] If you can try shifting the main entry door to the left and the bathroom door also towards the left end of the bathroom. This way you will get a walk in closet which will not take away from the bedroom space. This way you will get a niche on the right hand side of the main entry. It is advice able to provide a dressing unit here, with proximity to the bathroom since you will use it the minute you step out of the shower. Comments (6)Bhaskar, I would give it a pass. :) You have a bath of a size bigger than most of the baths in modern flats. Its approx 30% of your room size. Why do you want to increase it further. Please specify. Options that you may consider - reduce the wardrobe area a bit and compensate the bath. Increase the bath and use the TV or the Sofa wall for additional wardrobes. At one of the clients places we had merged two adjoining baths to make a king size bath. Take your pick. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs, Bangalore....See MoreI have this room. Comments (4)Hello, You can try this... Leave the space 6.8 x 11.5ft for a wardrobe and plan the bathroom and WC by creating a partition in the remaining space. You can also make a shower cabin in that space. Place the wardrobe opposite each other (parallel) and place the dresser in the space between them....See MoreJulia Stacey
