From your idea book, I see you like very modern houses. Is this going to be built in India? I found a one floor layout that might work for you and you could do the exterior to your taste. But I have to say, you should look for professional help in India. I imangine code requirements and material are much different there. Search the internet for modern and contemporay house plans. Hi there- Lovely place it seems you've got. I have two suggestions for you. Firsrt, if this is within your budget, I would try to move the Bath and WC over next to the master bedroom - right where the eat-in section of the current kitchen is. Then, you could extend your kitchen into the area where the bath and WC used to be, and it would be open to the drawing room. Alternatively, if that is not in the budget (that plan would require a lot of plumbing rerouting) then I would take down the little wall that closes off the kitchen and the little wall that extends the drawing room by the WC and bath. By simply removing those few sections you'll open up a lot more space!

Let me put it in short,"I am looking for options that give modern facilities without leaving good things from old charm/ comforts. " Thanks for the straight forward comments. I shall try to edit my original post to make it simpler and that looks open to new ideas.

Suggestion: Never put the gas stove below the window and chimney against the window. It is ineffective as the air blown out is likely to come back in. At the least, it can be on the right or left side of the window with the chimney on the wall. Or the best place is on a slab on the left wall.
