HI if your room is facing such that lot of light comes in and makes it appear hot, then go for dark tone else if you want it more light to bounce then go for light one. Also do re think on the white light LED. Unless you are determined suggest you should go for warm white or yellow.

Most of the ceiling looks like veneer on plywood and the balance is plain gypsum . If so , then just polish the veneer either in the same shade of wood as your furniture or one tone darker or lighter . The gypsum ceiling can remain white . If the ceiling height is too low , do not go for a jhoomer but rather a simple mounted light. Good Lighting is key to any design to look good.
