Thank you Rainmaking, Back Painted Glass works and I have tried but the safety factor jumps in and too delicate for working tables. I just finished a project last week using simple enamel paint and although it is cost effective and comparatively easy the maintenance is huge and scratches and wear & tear is highly probable. So I am looking into Acrylic currently but wished to know any other methods that are available coz when looking into the beautiful photos posted here for kitchen counters and other table tops they seldom look like acrylic and looked more interesting.

The recommended fit around a DR table is 24" larger on all sides for the chairs. You won't have that on the 6'8" side. I'm thinking the rug is going to be too small for the room 8x10 or even 9x12 would have been a better choice.

Hi Suneet, I feel there are a couple of things you could do. -You can start with pulling the furniture closer to the carpet. -Buy a couple of cushions for the maroon sofa. Bottle green or olive green would go well. -If you don't have a centre/coffee table, I recommend you buy one. -Side tables with table lamps will make space appear quite cosy and warm. The above-mentioned things would help you define the seating area. If your budget allows, go ahead and paint the walls to a mildly darker tone. Hope this helps. Feel free to get in touch with us.

Thanks Cornerstone. I was actually looking forward for your response as you guys are quite regular on the discussions. Coming back, the kitchen adjoining the open to sky area is actually being used as a storeroom. For your reply 1) As I mentioned the existing drawing room serves dual purpose of living and drawing which becomes very messy and nigh impossible to keep clean for suprise visitors. also coz of the open area , the rooms are prone to mosquitoes and flies. Coming back to my question I would like to know budget friendly solution for covering the open area. ( I did consider opting for a skylight but the cost was off the charts) 2) Wardrobe and door Now that the drawing will be freed up, I don't see any use of the wardrobe in the new plan. I don't have any clarity of ideas for the rear dining area as to how deal with the very dark wardrobe( which I'm open to remodel it for another purpose) and the door that leads to the open area. 4) Thanks for the advise on the L shape sofa but my concern remains on the no. of seats would not be sufficient. Also would the L shape look better on the long wall or the wall with the passage door. 6) One more thing that bothers me is the yellow check pattern on the floor. How do I make the furniture, in terms of Color, complement the floor. Thanks again for your reply. Cheers
