They have architects in Miami !! Search Houzz for your area. A house is created from a list of wants, needs and desires, also to suit a lot and site, from the inside to outside and outside to inside. This is not the forum for that, until you determine what you need and want. And you still need onsite and local professional advice.

I agree get an architect and maybe before that get on the web and look for house styles you like to show them what you are thinking

to me, even if i had a home built? i would have houzz people on board from the beginning. there are too many things thrown at you, and yet too many choices assumed without any input. like all master bathes must have 2 sinks right? well not mine, and i might want the space and $ spent somewhere else?

In Miami I would make sure to take advantage of every bit of the climate you can. As far as style, I'd probably start with something nice and modern with some fairly loose vibe of a bit of art deco

i don't know if you are native, but i assume you are new, most natives don't stay. anyway. you want to be able to open up, but you must always have screens!
