Need help with Kitchen Countertop- Cabinets-Hardwood floor Combo

Hi!

I have a design appointment scheduled for next week for our new house. I want to go for White Quartz/ Level 3 Granite that too in shades of White. I strictly want my cabinets in dark shade. So may be the darkest cherry brown cabinets. And I also want to have medium-dark flooring. I was thinking of Walnut grey or may be more towards grey tones. But I am confused as shades of Brown and Shades of Grey do not blend in properly. Please suggest color options as if it highlights everything.

This will get dark very quickly. Please ensure you include a big upgrade in lighting for the darker floors...I mean the whole house will need lighting updates so you will want a full consultation with lighting.

Cherry is HARD to work with if you want cool browns (walnut is a cool based colour range...especially with gray undertones). But the GOOD NEWS is ESPRESSO works VERY well with walnut/gray toned floors. Very, very, very well.

So - which is more important for you? Cherry cabinets (warm, reddish/brown) OR cool brown floors? Make your choice. It will make things SOOOO much easier on the designer.

It's like being in love with a fuchsia coloured skirt the tangerine pumps and the antique rose purse. You might like them INDIVIDUALLY...but they should NOT be put together as an ensemble (some people would...but that is a STRONG character to pull it off).

You are about to clad your home in clashing colours. Choose which one is MORE important to you...and then set up the rest of the space to set off that colour.
