The entirety of this entrance was custom designed by JBMP, including the custom elliptical metal and glass canopy and brackets, cast stone bolection framing the doors, and the large metal doors. The intricate geometric pattern on the metal doors was designed in house as well and cut using CNC as well as some hand made parts by the metal fabricator. Yes, we believe this works well in modern applications, which suited this particular project and client. The glass in these door panels sits behind the intricate metal panels, which we designed to swing open in order to clean the glass. Clear tempered glass was used, but white paper was held up behind the doors while photographing them in order to let the pattern stand out.
