Comments (10)Hello Monika, I must say that concrete wall is fantastic! I see a large planter with a large leaved plant there.. I like Jonathan's idea, off white or shades of cream for the remaining walls and ceiling or even a subtle stone colour.. Then we need to talk textures! I think the sofa could work if you move it out a bit from the wall and layer it up with throws and add a couple of lovely cushions.. Warm woods would be nice too to balance the room.. Have you considered adding concrete to other areas of the home? There are some fantastic concrete chairs available both as a chair and bar stool.. Could be fabulous to compliment this room.. Cox and Cox did some pendant lights that were concrete with a warm edge detail.. You could create your own arrangement with a 5 wire ceiling rose and hooks.. A glass topped coffee table could be nice too.. Have a look at eBay or vintage shops.. Oh and one more thing... You can if you like the concrete wall find wallpaper for another room say that resembles what you have in the living room or even marble! It's fabulous and a feature you want to make the most out of! :))...See MoreNeed Help for Living room and Dinning room Design
Comments (2)For the dining room, I think I'd orient the table 90 degrees from how it's drawn, and I would make it a drop leaf or gateleg table so that it can be made smaller when not being used for dining. I would embrace the idea that the entry is right in the middle of the living room, and bring the living room furniture out towards the fireplace so the fireplace is connected to the seating area. Maybe TV above fireplace. In that back corner where the sofa is drawn, I'd make that a small work/office space....See MorePlease suggest ways to decorate this living cum dining room.
Comments (14)Hello Rachna, We have gone through your posts. Please clarify the room size is it 12x8 or 16x9.3 . Let's start from bottom line, what is the budget that you can spare now for the makeover. A lot of remodelling would depend upon the budget .BTW, I really appreciate your honesty about the affordability ! Coming back to the topic, I believe your TV unit is placed in a good position but other units will require movement. Please do confirm the size. Also how is the ceiling ..it looks like false ceiling is already done. Thanks, Nitin CORNERSTONE DESIGNS Bangalore....See Morehow to Decorate my living room
Comments (7)Hi there, seems like small room n hot place..so better give pearl white paint or white whichever u prefer..it will make the room more spacious. Keep furniture to the minimum.. Keep L shape sofa on the right side of door n just opposite to tat u can keep ur TV but pl dont buy heavy cabinets.. just hang ur tv on wall n just below tat u can make long cabinets wid drawers wid modern look.. without handles. On the green wall side put frames in cluster or just two three.. keep one table wid modern luk..nt heavy one..sofa colour it depends on the walk colour..if white then grey or brown wid white cusions or multicolur cushions..match ur sofa colour wid frame colour.. or u can do everything thing in white.. tv furniture, frames sofa.. put mukticolour cushions on white sofa or plain grey, light blue, light yellow whichever u like.. keep everything simple n modern..Gyal frm Sikkim...See More- 10 years ago
