Budget

Hello, we will be soon moving into our new home(currently being rented) and would like to make some changes like flooring, window treatments. A bathroom remodel is also on the cards. How much should we budget for assistance from an interior designer for these as well space decor(furniture selection). Thanks.

Have a chat with a few to get a feel for them and their style. Budget for professional service varies as it depends on wether it's a one off consultation or if they're taking full control of the project.

It will be time and money well spent however as they will save you money on things like wasted furniture purchases that don't work as well as expected, poor colour choices, etc., etc.

Interior designers are way way underrated!

it is a guest bedroom. as u can see we kept it very simple and minimal. its a customized bed with built in bed back panel along with floating side table . to highlight the bed head we kept the wall white because bed head is colorful. i chose the bed sheets and pillows matching with bed head.also upon bed there will be two large frames of the same color theme.

Hi Divya, The best initial steps are to talk to a few designers to see who feels right for you. From experience its hard to establish everything you may need help with before you meet. An initial consultation to get a better understanding of the brief and also give you an idea of the designer is a great idea. After the first meeting we try to establish exactly what areas to focus on. We sometimes call this a reverse brief. The designer can then quote on an hourly basis or by the work that is specified.
