nben1, Hi, I would open a 42" to 45" opening on both ends of the wall between living and study. That would leave room for a TV with components in a unit below. A desk would be nice in the back left corner of the study, with art or photo above, a chair in the back right corner and a chaise or small sofa on the wall behind the tv. That would make everything look roomier and make the study more inviting. In the living an L shaped seating would be nice floating with a small console behind. Good luck!

That's a tall order on design dilemmas, is there a particular aspect you need advice on? Right now, my best advice is to find and hire a designer. I own the 1st floor of a 2-storied building. The ground floor being occupied by one of my close relative. We had been sharing the same entrance to the house till now. But due to some personal problems there has been a need to change the entrance to my house (i.e. the 1st floor). I have to construct a staircase in the front side towards the left side of the building. I am also planning to extend the existing drawing-room ( to the extreme left side of the building, as seen in the Photograph, attached) filling-up the open space, as seen in the photo. Please help me out to redesign the entrance and the extension of my Drawing room.
