Store items of "yours" for a while that you'd like to keep, just in case. :) Store Grandma's antiques that you like that you may regret selling. If you Hate the antiques, sell them. 2. If your new abode is only YOURS.,,.keep only what you love and eliminate duplicates.

i will definitely go with shristi's opinion as the eclectic style is very playful and expressive at the same time but we can go more with a blend of indian style and eclectic style as according to me indian style gives u that ethinic look to your house which creates a liveliness and can never go wrong and u will probably won't get bored and adding an eclectic touch to your house or room can create that pleasing and playful vibes and over the time you can experiment with the looks of your room by adding or replacing the eclectic stuff maintaing the ethnic touch of your room.

I have some suggestions if you are thinking budget friendly changes. Make a photo gallery with different size frames and arrange them parallel to the stairs, so you can enjoy each photo as you climb up. And for the area that will be on a level with your upper floor, try some pretty decal that will connect the photo gallery to upper level. And last, if you have budget add some beautiful hanging lights in the stairwell. Also think about repositioning your refrigerator.
