Hi Simran, I am a big fan of having indoor plants around the house. There is this misconception that plants in the bedroom may not be a good idea because of the carbon dioxide from their breathing. But assuming that you will be looking at a couple of small plants, this really should not be something to worry about. Snake plants and Golden Pothos (money plant) are low maintenance and really help clean the air. Do upload some pics here once you have put your plants.

Yes... definitely. In fact it's one of the best places to keep plants indoors since you don't have to worry about the mess while watering them! :)

Check if you are overwatering them. Repot it , and maybe move the plant to a sunnier location
