Can you tell me the paint colors used on the plaster in this photo?

I love this modernist house. The combination of plaster and wood siding fits my vision for my home in Laguna Beach. Can you tell me what type of wood was used and how the siding was affixed? Also, I'd like to know the charcoal/dark grey paint color(s) used o the plaster/cement (???) wall.

Hi Virginia, We're glad you like our project! The concrete wall and paving is plain 'ole standard concrete color (no integral color additives), and the shower screen is ipe.

The buildings were done by Formwork (Grounded is the landscape architect and designed the site). Formwork selected the grey stucco color from samples that the plaster contractor provided, and I'm afraid that I don't remember the exact color. The building in the background is clad in cypress.

Regardless, it is always best to pick colors and materials on site, because it really is a specific decision that is based on light conditions, surrounding materials and textures. Your site in California will undoubtedly be much different than this wooded acreage in Virginia. Show your architect the photo, and he or she will undoubtedly have ideas for how to replicate this look in a way that works on your property. Have fun! Anna

If I understand the seasons in India correctly, you have already been through the rainy season. Don't wait until the next rainy season to get the problem with your drainage fixed. Now will probably be the ideal time to get it fixed. Please get someone who will tell you what to do and then have the work done. The paint on that wall in your beautiful home will keep coming off!

Ok there is a lot that you can do to decorate this place. You can put nice white/cream curtains along with white/cream curtains so that you can use net curtains one when you want more light. You can place a small decorative plant on that window. Another thing is that you can do is cover the wash-basin pipe. You can use a couple of small frames to hang on the wall that compliments the color of the wall. Talk to top interior designers such as Tasko. Hi Tanmayi, Going for white walls is always safe, this will helps in giving a light feel to the room plus gives a lot of scope to bring in the patters and colours to the room in other forms (like curtains, cushions, wall art/frames, etc) PAINT SHADE(2 Options) Would also like to advice you to have a subtle wallpaper either in the niche portion of the TV wall or for the entire headboard wall. (Assuming the other walls may have windows or doors) SOME WALLPAPER REFERENCE IMAGES: Later you can gradually bring in other elements as per your taste and time and pull up the room together.
