Jitesh, for our remodel we picked maple hardwood floor throughout the living room, dining room, hallways, stairs, and bedrooms. We like the warmth and look of real wood. We use tiles in the bathrooms because of all the water.

I Would Say you have a nice airy, ventilated and well lighted room.. Absolutely why natural light to severe needed for any home. Aahan what you are thinking is absolutely right that having a modern couch can make this room look completely different. also try changing the room colour make it light which will give you the much needed change... fresh... and elegant look....use white or ivory. Something like the photo shown below.. or also refer to our work which we have put up on houzzz...

Jaisalmer is a beautiful flooring. Its not too yellow. More of an ochre/amber colour. Looks rich and warm and doesn't have the cold impersonal appearance of white marble. It is also dark veined, so it is a very personal choice. The larger the slabs, the better for you. I've used 4'-0" x 5'-0". Even 3'-0" x 4'-0" is okay. But it is very important to get references for proper stone layers and polish guys from the supplier. You can really get stuck if you don't get the right people. And yes, it would look stunning with red open brick walls and traditional furniture
