yvonne, yes i guess we can use it in the dining. The dinining room is small and doesnt have any windows. the kitchen has a lot of natural light that will come across to the dining due to the open kitchen plan. We will be buying new furniture for the dining. We could buy a glass top table with wood chairs / wood table with wood chairs. The room will be painted offwhite similar color as the base of this fabric. All walls will be painted the same color by the builder, Afer taking possession of the house we can repaint it where needed for accent wall etc. Its an appartment, we live in India.

I would put the TV on the wall you have the sofa on now and use the larger wall for your sofa. Right now it looks jammed into the corner. It should be fairly easy for the "cable guy" to move your cable outlet to theother wall if you don't have one there already. Or an entertainment unit would be better for your TV set-up on that wall.

You don't necessarily need only paintings as artwork. You can put some floating shelves near the dining space with some good crockery like plates or tea sets which can be used for occasions as well. On the wall in the living space you could keep either traditional or modern show pieces.

if u are interested in art work.. you should definitely go for some bastar art pieces.. beautiful vases in contrast colors to the dining area will also comprehend the look
